2. Personal data we collect
- Contact form and meeting booking: name, email, company, phone, subject and message;
- Newsletter: email address;
- Applications (Careers): name, contacts, CV and professional data you send us;
- Browsing data: pages visited, device type, traffic source and identifiers collected via cookies and analytics tools.
3. Purposes and legal bases
We process your data under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and Portuguese Law 58/2019:
- Responding to requests and booking meetings — pre-contractual steps and legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(b) and (f) GDPR);
- Sending the newsletter and marketing communications — your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR and Art. 13-A of Law 41/2004), which you may withdraw at any time;
- Processing applications — pre-contractual steps and, where applicable, your consent;
- Analytics and website improvement — consent (analytics cookies) and legitimate interest;
- Compliance with legal obligations (tax and accounting) — legal obligation.
4. Newsletter and marketing communications
We only send the newsletter to those who voluntarily subscribed. Every email includes, in the footer, a link to unsubscribe and a link to this Privacy Policy. You may withdraw consent at any time, without affecting the lawfulness of prior processing.
To gauge interest in our content and improve our communications, we measure email opens and link clicks on an aggregate, non-identifiable basis — without linking that measurement to your identity or IP address.
5. Cookies and analytics
We use cookies that are essential to the site and analytics cookies (including Google Analytics 4, with anonymized IP) subject to your consent. For more information see our Cookie Policy.
Virtual assistant: the website may offer a conversational assistant. Messages typed into the assistant are processed only to generate the reply; we do not store conversation contents — we only record aggregated, non-identifiable metrics (the topic of the question). When a reply is generated with the help of artificial intelligence, the message text is processed by Microsoft (Azure OpenAI) acting as a processor and is not used to train models; the service is hosted in the European Union and any processing outside the EEA is covered by the safeguards described in the "International transfers" section. Please do not type sensitive personal data into the assistant.
6. Recipients and processors
We do not sell your data. We may use providers that process data on our behalf and under our instructions, namely email, productivity and artificial intelligence services (Microsoft 365 / Microsoft Azure), analytics (Google Analytics) and website hosting. These providers are bound by confidentiality and security obligations.
7. International transfers
Some providers (for example, Google and Microsoft) may process data outside the European Economic Area. In such cases we ensure appropriate safeguards, such as the European Commission Standard Contractual Clauses or other recognized mechanisms.
8. Retention periods
We keep data only for as long as necessary for the purposes for which it was collected: contact requests while the relationship justifies it; meeting requests for a maximum of 24 months; newsletter data until you unsubscribe (the record is permanently deleted within 30 days of unsubscribing; unconfirmed subscription requests are removed after 30 days); applications during the recruitment process and, for consideration in future opportunities, for a maximum of 24 months after submission (after which they are automatically deleted, including the CV file); and data subject to legal obligations for the periods required by law. IP addresses collected in forms (anti-abuse protection) are anonymized after 90 days.
9. Your rights
As a data subject, you have the right of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability and objection, as well as the right to withdraw consent. To exercise them, contact info@bconcepts.pt. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority — the Portuguese Data Protection Authority (CNPD), www.cnpd.pt.
10. Security
We adopt appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your data against unauthorized access, loss, alteration or disclosure, including encrypted connection (HTTPS) and access control.
11. Minors
This website is not directed at minors and we do not knowingly collect data from children. Should we become aware of any improper processing, we will delete it.
